What are refractive conditions and refractive surgery?
According to the curvature of the cornea and the length of the eye, light converges in front or behind retina producing refractive deficiencies in the vision. Refractive surgery is the currently alternative to glasses or contact lenses and it removes or corrects myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

Which kind of laser does Oftalmoplus work with?
Currently, we shape the right curvature of the cornea by the laser Excimer, which carves the corneal tissue in aspheric way, in order to preserve its natural structure. We also work with the Femtosecond laser, which is completely precise separating cornea flaps through micro pulsation.

How does the laser work in the eye?
The laser works over the cornea, not inside the eye, and it does not modify other tissues. This technique is painless and non-invasive. Both laser and lens implants allow the patient to recover vision quality in a few hours.

Which kind of precautions should I take after surgery?
The first ten days, the patient must use eye drops (antibiotic and anti-inflammatory), in order to complete the right treatment after surgery. Basically, avoid rubbing the eyes and dirty environments.

How can I know if I am suitable for laser treatment of myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism?
